Sea glass is recycling at its best! Old glass that was dumped into our oceans over the course of hundreds of years has been broken apart and naturally tumbled by the ocean waves and sand. The abuse put out by the sea has softened all the edges down and frosted the glass. Each piece is a one of a kind work of art. Glass comes in an array of colors; blue, white, brown/amber, green, and much more rarely red, yellow and orange.
I have taken these treasures from the beaches along the Jersey Shore and hand wrapped them in sterling silver to create wearable art. Each treasure is unique to itself. For earrings, I can often find pieces that are close in color, size and shape; but they will not be exact matches. Pendants are absolutely unique so when a piece is sold it is gone forever.
