Makin’ the Best Of It is made up of Kimberly (painter, mailler, mother, and final word) who recently finished her degree in Education and English at Kean University and Andrew (mailler, stockboy and general help) who works as a senior estimator for a local construction company. Our two sons keep us running from one event to another all the time between sports, art and music. We currently live in a small beach town on the Jersey Shore and love our life.

Hand painted glass is a way to add color to your world without adding more useless “stuff.” All of our glassware is heat cured enamel so it is top rack, dishwasher safe…in other words…it is meant to be used. All my patterns are hand painted individually so there will be slight variations on each piece; part of the charm of handmade.
In addition to glass, I also fell in love with sea glass or beach glass that I would find on the beach near our home. Well, I can’t very well just have jars of the stuff sitting around doing nothing! The result, sea glass jewelry! Most pieces are completed using sterling silver wire that has been hand wrapped to show off the glass to its best potential. Each piece is unique to itself so you will own a true piece of one of a kind wearable art.
